Our classes utilize an eclectic blend of Hatha Yoga incorporating many elements of Vinyasa and Ashtanga. Each class focuses on healthy alignment, modifications and adjustments to deepen your practice, regardless of age or ability. Learn the basic poses, alignment, breathing practices, moving with the breath, relaxation techniques and more. Each class also incorporates advanced level techniques, an understanding of body mechanics, and how to apply Yoga to your life, sport, or physical and spiritual needs. Pilates mat classes focus on strength, precision, and flow of movement. Exercises are presented at multiple levels allowing for a variety of student abilities. Students will learn to be aware of breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of the core. The fundamentals and principles of the Stott Pilates Method of exercise are covered in each class. With special attention to proper form and execution of all exercises the Essential class is perfect for those students who are new to Pilates, or for those looking to deepen their knowledge. It is also appropriate for individuals who are recovering from mild injuries or have special abilities and are looking for a safe way to workout.
The reformer utilizes spring based resistance to assist, transform, and “reform” the body. This is ideal for all fitness levels. Our reformer classes are taught in a small group setting by one of our qualified trainers, who will individualize repertoire to meet your needs. This workout is guaranteed to create results that you will see and feel with in a few sessions. The Essential reformer class is the best place to start for those new to this class.
Aerial silks is an athletic, circus art discipline most often associated with Cirque du Soleil. It involves paired lengths of fabric hung from above that are climbed, wrapped around the body, and/or tied to create dramatic drops, poses and movement above the ground. Participation in aerial silks helps to build strength, flexibility, coordination & balance. New to aerial? Start with our Intro to Aerial class before attending an essential class.
Aerial yoga combines traditional mat yoga with the use of an aerial hammock. Utilizing the hammock you will experience various postures both grounded and aerial while improving your alignment and challenging your stability and stamina. We suggest having taken both a yoga mat class and Intro to Aerial prior to registering for this class.
Also referred to as the aerial hoop, this suspended apparatus spins in a 360 degree motion as you learn to seamlessly create beautiful shapes. Pairing shapes with dynamic transitions you will also build strength to invert into your hoop which are most commonly hung at an arms reach. This is easily one of our most challenging classes. Pole Dancing implements all levels of pole dance, Pilates, and yoga to strengthen, tighten and change your body inside and out. No dance experience required. Great for beginner to advanced and all body types. Nervous about your first class, try intro to pole and take your spins for a test drive. From there you can venture out to our Essential Level classes and Spin Pole classes. You may even find yourself joining our performance or competition team.
This High-energy program focuses on strength, flexibility, stamina and dynamic movement by combining elements from Pilates, dance, cardio and strength training. Utilizing a stability barre, weights, balls, and music. Instructors will help tone and sculpt your body all while increasing coordination, movement quality and motivation.
This class is a full body cardio jam session, combining light resistance and simulated drumming. Burns between 400 to 900+ calories per hour! This is a great class for people of all abilities, rock as hard or lightly as you like.
